
Admission Guide 2020
Admissions in affiliated Programmes of UET Lahore are offered once in a year and that too in the Fall semester only. This time receipt of Application shall start from Monday, 11th May, 2020. Admissions in Grafton College of Engineering and Sciences, Islamabad is strictly on merit basis as determined by UET, Lahore. There are no special quotas, reserved seats nor there any arbitrary age limit for the applicants. The College is open to all persons of either gender and of any religion, color, creed, class or domicile who are academically qualified for the courses of studies offered by the Grafton College of Engineering and Sciences.

Eligibility Requirements
An applicant for admission to any of the Bachelor Degree course offered by the College must fulfill the following requirements.

A candidate should have earned at least 60% marks in Intermediate/DAE or equivalent foreign qualification.

Should have earned at least grade “C” in the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Computer Science in “A” level examination.

Admission Test for the applicants having Punjab domicile: Grafton College of Engineering and Sciences, Islamabad is an affiliated campus of UET Lahore. Applicants are required to get registered for Combined Entry Test 2020 latest by Monday, 1st June, 2020. Computer based Admission Test will be held on Saturday and Sunday, 13th and 14th of June, 2020. This test is mandatory for Punjab domicile holders and for the applicants from Islamabad.

For the applicants having domicile of Sindh, Baluchistan, KPK, Gilgit Baltistan and AJK, result of NTS test/Entry test of public sector Engineering University would be valid.

Admissions will be offered before the formal declaration of the Intermediate Examination part - II result on the basis of HSSC - I results.

Candidates with DAE qualification should have their Diploma relevant to the branch of Engineering in which they seeks admission. Such Applicants shall not be eligible unless their diplomas are in the relevant technology as specified against each degree course .

8. An applicant must have at least 50% overall adjusted aggregate marks.
Note: Credit shall be added to the academic marks in HSSC/Equivalent to Applicants who are Hafiz - e- Quran or Sportsman. These marks shall not be added in calculation of the aggregate but in the finalization of merit.

Aggregate
An applicant should have at least 50% overall adjusted aggregate marks. Aggregate marks are computed according to the following formula:
a. In case of Intermediate stream:

Entry Test Percentage Marks: 30% weight in merit aggregate.

Matric Percentage Marks: 25% weight in merit aggregate.

First Year Percentage marks: 45% weight in merit aggregate.

b. In case of Diploma holders:

Entry Test Percentage Marks: 30% weight in merit aggregate.

Sum of First and Second Years Percentage Marks: 70% weight in merit aggregate.
c. In case of foreign qualification:

Entry Test Percentage Marks: 30% weight in merit aggregate.

Marks earned in 11th Class (O level or equivalent): 70% weight in merit determination.

Try to submit the application along with the required documents as early as possible. Do not wait for the last date.

As soon as the process of selection is complete the merit list will be notified.

All documents to be attached with the application form should be attested by a Class – I gazetted officer from any government department

Equivalence Certificate would be required for Examinations conducted by Non-Pakistani Boards.

Credit shall be added to the academic marks in HSSC/Equivalent to Applicants who are Hafiz - e -

Quran or Sportsman: Hafiz - e- Quran Marks = 20, Sports Marks = 10

All candidates including the students of additional Maths may apply for provisional admission if they have completed one of the above courses and are awaiting results. However, the confirmation of the admission is subject to the submission of results as per the date specified in admission offer letter.

Confirmation of the admission will also be subject to an undertaking by the student and his father/guardian to abide by the rules and regulations of the College from time to time.
